We especially liked being able to spend our evenings in, cooking in the cozy common area after early starts, long walks and sightseeing. The kitchen is small but well equipped, and the whole place was super clean. Our room had enough space for our bigger luggage, too. The host was so friendly, and we felt right at home. There’s a lot provided here: a small library, good WiFi, a well-stocked kitchen, and bikes you can rent for the day. The room was a little small, but cozy, and the shower room was especially useful. We brushed our teeth and washed our faces in the standing shower instead of using the tiny sink. Seems well suited to a one or two day stay.

We were able to leave our bags before check-in and head out to explore Nara before the day trip crowds showed up, which was really helpful. The owner is attentive, very friendly, and speaks English well. There’s a shared kitchen and a living room with a PlayStation 3 and lots of games for downtime in the evening. We had a comfortable short stay. It’s very close to Nara Park, the town centre, and the railway station, and I’d highly recommend it.

The room was compact, but clean and well organized, with two single beds and a private shower for the two of us. The lady host was easy to approach and helped us with self check-in. We could also leave our luggage there for half a day on our second day. The room uses PINs and touch controls instead of a key, and even check-in and passport scanning felt high tech. It’s about a five minute walk from Nara JR Station on easy roads, even with bags. They also have a kitchen, coffee, microwave, and bikes for rent. Highly recommend.
