Shikinoyado Koyomi

You can enjoy the high-quality hot springs whenever you like. There's also a dog run and amenities for dogs, so dog lovers should stay here. It's very quiet, with birdsong to relax to, and the interior is clean and well equipped.

We stayed in Mutsuki and had a wonderful holiday. The hot springs are open anytime, and I love the sulfur smell. The cottage had its own dog run and didn't smell of dogs at all. It felt like a relaxing home, with a spacious bathroom, a dog air dryer, and even a space for dogs in the bathroom. The dryer is stiff, so it takes quite a bit of force to open. I'd warm it up inside before putting your dog in, so they don't get cold. We'd like to stay again.

I stayed in July. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was glad the dishes and cooking utensils were clean too. The bed springs weren't too soft, which suited me. I especially liked the counter and bench by the window. In the morning I had breakfast there, watching dogs play in the dog run and birdwatching. It felt like a luxury. I saw several wild birds one after another, including a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Hawfinch, and a Grey-streaked Flycatcher. The azaleas were still in bud, but I imagine they'll be even prettier in full bloom. The free-flowing hot spring bath was relaxing, and I got to try the ReFa hairdryer and curling iron I'd been wanting to use. My dog seemed a little confused by the sulfur smell at first, but settled down after checking it out. He gets nervous around other dogs, but our building was separate from the others, so he could relax. I had a wonderful time and would stay again if I get the chance.

Our two cats had soup for dinner, while we humans relaxed in the free-flowing hot spring, ate shabu-shabu, and lazed around ♡ We brought all our cat supplies since we don't travel much and were a bit worried, but the cats were full of energy. They had a blast playing with new toys in the spacious living room, lol. It was our first trip with cats, just one night, and we were really impressed by how kind and attentive the reception staff were. Our cat-friendly getaway left us feeling completely recharged!
