The renovated room was clean, and the front desk staff were very helpful at check-in. They even kept my luggage before I could check in. Still, a lot about the stay disappointed me, especially for the peak Obon season price. The towels smelled a bit, and the problems in the room were stressful. There were no pajamas or loungewear, bottled water, or tea, so it's best to bring your own. When I checked in with STAY1, they asked whether I needed amenities, but in the room I only found towels, slippers, and a hairdryer. There were no vending machines in the building or at reception. The nearest convenience store was across the station, about a 10-minute walk away. The inn itself is near the station, but I was exhausted and found the walk really disappointing. I wonder whether they would've provided those things if I'd asked, or even told me about them. At this price I'd expect loungewear or at least vending machines. I like their sustainable efforts and local partnerships, but they should also think about the basics of running a hotel. I can only put it down to bad luck this time, but I hope this helps anyone considering a stay.

The shared toilets are on the first and second floors, and there are three shared shower rooms on the first. The room itself was clean and had been renovated. There are stairs right at the entrance, so you need to be okay with climbing them. It can get pretty noisy, which may be hard with a baby. Still, the price was reasonable and I appreciated that. I wish there were parking, too.

The first-floor lounge serves coffee and other drinks after check-in, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and the staff are happy to chat and share local tips. The hotel opened in April 2025 after a full renovation of a former tea shop and inn. It’s run by Nirasaki’s urban development company, "Nirasakiya," and is just a two-minute walk from JR Chuo Line’s Nirasaki Station. Young residents are opening new businesses along the shopping street, making this a handy base for exploring the area. I also heard they plan to develop real estate information services, with locally knowledgeable staff available to advise on moving to the area or starting a business.

There’s no parking, and the price feels too high for what you get. In this day and age, I find rooms without their own toilets or showers hard to accept. Having to use shared facilities seems outdated for a business hotel.
