Sekai Hotel Takaoka

The room was clean and comfortable, and this was easily one of my best capsule hotel stays. I could really relax here. The staff were so kind. They suggested lots of local restaurants and even taught me some local slang, which made the stay fun. They also gave me a “regular customer card.” Showing it at local restaurants makes you feel like a regular, and I thought that was a great idea. A fantastic place, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in Toyama Prefecture.

The reception staff were friendly, and I had a nice break in the cafe. Thanks so much. I stayed here for my graduation trip. It was my first time in Toyama, and I picked Takaoka because it’s easy to get to different places. The stay was even more comfortable than I expected, and the hotel’s concept helped me enjoy the town’s charm.

The room was clean, with a separate bathroom and toilet and just the right amount of tatami space. I’d recommend it for families. I think we were in the largest room, and having the mattress directly on the floor was great with kids, since there’s no worry about them falling off. One drawback: our room was on the second floor and there’s no elevator, so you’d have to carry a stroller up the stairs.

A cozy little boutique hotel, with staff who are just as warm and welcoming as the place itself. It’s under 500 meters from the station, and you can walk to all the attractions. I’d definitely stay here again.
