Ryokan Minshuku Gorinkan

I stayed here as part of a diving tour, and there’s a swimming beach nearby. I’d love to come back.

I watch "Midsummer Equation" every summer, so seeing the inn where it was set was special. It’s not exactly as it appears in the movie, but scenes from it are all over the place. The film set was incredible. I remember thinking, "So this is what the rooftop looked like!" The food was excellent in both quantity and quality, and they served dinner in my room.

We stayed at a lobster lion ...

We had the place to ourselves during winter, which was lovely. I also heard Fukuyama had been there filming. The food was beautiful and really tasty. They served yellowtail snapper when I visited, a somewhat unusual fish, and it was cooked well with no fishy smell.
