Business Hotel Kudo

Great location and staff, with simple but nice service. I had a nice stay.

The room felt a bit dated, with old-fashioned wall switches, but seemed well cleaned. The bathtub was small, yet had no overflow hole, so I could fill it enough to submerge up to my neck, which was nice compared with most business hotels. I couldn't find my yukata at first, then spotted it in the hallway the next morning. I had the parking location wrong at first. The affiliated lot is inside the first floor of the Cocoletta Nobeoka building, not just south of the hotel. The price was reasonable if you don't expect much from your stay. Breakfast was only okay, and lacked a main dish or side dish, though it was nice that it started at 6:30.

This is a good value business hotel with a Showa-era feel. The room has a unit bath and the basics, including a refrigerator, desk, chair, and TV. You can borrow a kettle and hair dryer from the front desk and take them to your room. There's an affiliated parking lot, and the service was polite, so I was very satisfied. If you want newer rooms and facilities, you'll need to look at a different price range.

The Western-style breakfast was fantastic, made in the coffee shop on the first floor rather than served premade or in a bento, and it came with coffee. The female staff were friendly, and the location is great, close to the station and restaurants. The bathroom lighting was dim, and the hallway smelled of cigarettes. Still, I'll definitely stay here again if I go to Nobeoka.
