This is a quiet hot springs inn tucked into the mountains, so you’ll need to drive there. Some other sites describe it as being for children, but I found it a lovely place for adults to unwind in the countryside too. The spring water is good, and a soak helped ease my fatigue, though it can get too hot depending on when you visit. The Wi-Fi connection, unfortunately, isn’t very good.

I was on my way back from Suzu City on a weekday evening when I spotted this roadside station on Google Maps and decided to stop. The alkaline water, with a pH of 8.8, feels very smooth. It’s around 20°C at the source and gets heated, but still feels like a proper hot spring. Most hot springs on the Noto Peninsula are salty chloride springs, so this different and rare water quality was what drew me here. The reception is just to the right of the entrance, and admission was 550 yen. The changing room and washing area were clean, with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap provided. There’s just one indoor bath, but it really has the feel of a hot spring at home. I came out refreshed and not sticky, and it was great to enjoy a good bath after a while. You can also stay overnight and try making soba noodles. Apparently, they began offering day-use hot spring bathing three or four years ago. I’ll stop in again when I’m next in the Suzu area.

On my first visit, I’d looked online and thought day-use bathing began at 7:30 AM. They let me in anyway, saying, “Since you’ve come all the way here,” which I really appreciated. The water is alkaline, thick, clear, and odorless, and it’s high-quality water straight from the source.

There were lots of people involved in the reconstruction effort staying here. I had a comfortable stay in a private room, though there’s a knack to getting the door to lock. The bath is a hot spring, and the lockers cost 100 yen. I’ll come back later.

The bath was just right for a long soak, neither too hot nor too lukewarm, and the water felt thick. I found the place while looking for a hot spring after finishing volunteer work in Suzu City. It was about 30 minutes away. There was another nearby hot spring I planned to visit the next day, so I chose this one for my first day. Admission was 550 yen, paid with PayPay. It’s a small place with one indoor bath and four washing stations. I arrived at 4 pm and had the place to myself for about 40 minutes.♨ The lockers take a 100 yen coin, which is refunded later. I’ll be in the area for two more days, so I’d like to come back here again._φ(・_・)
