Hotel Aria

The front desk had craft beer, which caught me by surprise. I couldn’t have alcohol on the day I stayed, but I’d like to come back to Numazu and try it next time. They also sell little snacks at reception and homemade rice balls in the morning. It was a very affordable business hotel. A lot of the facilities are dated, but for the price they seemed adequate.

I was stuffed after the lunch buffet, with risotto and pasta, and everything was delicious. This review is for the Italian restaurant on the second floor, not the hotel. As I was leaving, I noticed a sign saying one alcoholic drink was free. I hadn’t realized! 60 minutes for ¥1,500.

I could hear quite a few voices from other rooms while waiting for the elevator, which was the one thing that bothered me. The same person was at the front desk in the morning and evening, and they were very polite, which I appreciated. I stayed the night before going to the Numazu Alps. The price was fairly low for the area, and it wasn’t too far from the station. The room, bed, and bathroom were all roomy enough for one person. A microwave would’ve been handy, since not many nearby restaurants seemed to stay open late.

I was here for work on December 26th. The bathroom had been renovated and was spacious and clean, but the smoking room had a cracked key card and a dirty mark on the lampshade beside the pillow. There was no humidifier either. It cost ¥6,800 for the night without meals. My colleague stayed nearby at Livemax for around ¥5,000.
