For the price, it can be worth staying, but the dust and old shoes under the bed were disgusting. It looked as if nobody had cleaned there in years. At first the staff weren't very friendly. When I called because I couldn't figure out where reception was, they hung up on me twice, which got me frustrated. Eventually someone answered, spoke English perfectly, and quickly improved the experience. They also never told us the checkout time, then charged us a fee for being late. That seems like an important thing to tell guests, though it felt like one of many things that came with being a foreigner.

The room was clean and neat, and the staff were helpful with great hospitality. Numazu Station is about a two-minute walk away.

I saw the very negative reviews, but my experience didn't match them. The room and cafeteria were clean, and the room cleanup was excellent. The foreign staff at the front were helpful and easy to communicate with. Anil at reception speaks fluent Japanese and was especially helpful. The service seems to be improving these days, and I was satisfied with it for a reasonable price.

The room was nice and clean, and we were welcomed warmly by the staff, especially the manager. We found the cafeteria and smoking room very comfortable. We're having a lovely stay and will book here again on our next trip to Japan. Thanks!

Manager Saha was welcoming and very helpful, and speaks perfect English and Japanese. The place was easy to find and seems like a good choice for solo travel.
