Omura Yasuda Ocean Hotel

The breakfast was the highlight for me. It had a decent selection, mostly Japanese dishes, and everything tasted good. The hotel is old, but it’s close to the airport. Staff were helpful and patient with me as a foreigner who doesn’t understand Japanese.

There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the large AEON shopping center is close too. Free parking is behind the building. I visited in December 2025 and spent two nights sightseeing. The building is a little old, but I was quite satisfied for the price, especially with breakfast included. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Nagasaki.

The ocean view was nice, and the included breakfast was basic but felt like a bit of a bargain for the price. The rooms have basic facilities, which are fine for an overnight stay. There are restaurants open late nearby, including Sukeno Udon, which is open 24 hours. The facilities are old and the hallways smell like cigarettes, but my non-smoking room smelled nice and clean. Getting to the airport at night and taking the bus would have made arrival easier.

I really liked the retro atmosphere, even though the building is old and it’s hard to tell how well it’s been maintained. The restaurant staff were warm and welcoming, and I was impressed by the view from the sixth-floor restaurant. Breakfast had a comforting, home-cooked flavor. I’d personally give it more stars, but I don’t want to set expectations too high, so I’ll leave the rating as it is. I’d definitely stay again someday.
