CINQS Hotel

This place was a real blessing for my Osaka trip. I paid S$220 a night in April 2025, when I was there for the World Expo, and it's now close to $400 a night for 2026 dates. I found it on Agoda when it had only been open about a week. There were a few booking hiccups, but the hotel itself was perfect for me, brand new, very clean, and served by excellent staff. It felt safe, secure, and private. Namba, with all its food, shopping, and buzz, is within walking distance, as is the subway line that made getting to the Expo easy during my multi-day visit. I stayed three nights.

The included breakfast was decent, but it was in a separate building five minutes away. The room was a reasonable size, and the hotel is easy to find, about a five-minute walk from Namba Station. Still, there’s no in-room safe, the walls were stained, and the noise from the main street was awful. Local drivers kept revving their engines at full throttle all night, even while waiting at lights. The bed and pillow were the most uncomfortable I've had in 25 years of travelling. With the noise and poor sleep, I’d never stay again, especially not for $268 US a night.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and new, and the beds were comfortable. The TV had good entertainment options, and you could log in to your own streaming services. The location is amazing, right by Namba Station. But there was nowhere to put your things and only four hangers. Even on a three-night stay, they didn't make the bed or clean the room. The shower has a handheld head.

A lovely little boutique hotel right in central Osaka. The design feels thoughtful, and it has what you need without a lot of extra stuff. Just the right kind of quaint place for us.
