Hotel Arashi Tengachaya No.005

The neighborhood was quieter than the busy tourist areas, and I felt safe coming back after 10 PM throughout our nine nights. The area does have quite a few homeless people, which might look concerning at first, and the main station is about a 500-meter walk. There’s also an Imafune stop only around 140 meters away, though at about ¥230 per ride it wasn’t as practical for everyday trips. We had no major problems, and the price felt very fair for what we got. The apartment-style room was roomy and had a stove, microwave, washing machine, and basic cooking tools to borrow. That made a longer stay much easier. There’s no daily housekeeping, but staff collect rubbish each day if you leave it outside the door. The staff were really kind and patient. They mostly spoke Chinese, but translation apps worked fine. In the first few days they helped us figure out the electricity, local TV channels, and some of the toilet controls. I’d recommend Arashi Tengachaya Hotel if you want a comfortable, affordable longer stay in a quieter part of town and don’t mind walking a bit to the main station.
