We had a private room with two double beds, and they were quite comfortable. The accommodation was clean and well organized, the showers were always clean, and reception staff were friendly and helpful. Light came through beneath the blackout curtains and through the plastic strip in the middle of the door. I'd bring an eye mask just in case.

I hate leaving a bad review, but I'm frustrated and nearly in tears. I planned to arrive at 11:30 pm, after check-in hours. Their policy says to contact them so they can arrange a late check-in. I mentioned the late arrival when booking through Klook, then submitted the contact form three times on three different days before the check-in date. I also asked a friend in Japan to call twice, but they didn't answer, and I messaged them on Facebook after seeing they'd posted just hours earlier. I got no reply and had to find other accommodation. As a solo traveler, some travel days really make you miss home. This is partly a vent, but I also want other late-night travelers to know what happened. Edit: The hostel replied and essentially said I was an irresponsible traveler, but didn't address my attempts through their contact form, phone, and Facebook Messenger. I don't think it's my fault I couldn't arrange a late check-in when I followed their contact steps and got no response through any of the methods, despite trying several times. This isn't a one-sided account. I'm sure it may be fine if you arrive during front desk hours, but that wasn't my situation. I've added photos showing my messages and the lack of response.

The staff were kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well kept, with nice bathroom amenities. It was our first time sleeping on futons, and we found them surprisingly comfortable. When I had an issue during my stay, the staff were helpful, honest, and caring. Special thanks to Takeo for bringing me my insulin. I'll never forget it. We loved the place and would definitely return. I highly recommend it.

We all slept well. It was affordable, fairly quiet at night, and the beds were comfortable. The showers were clean, there were free amenities, and the location was handy for the train station and 7/11.

All good, but the sides on the lower bunks make it awkward to get in and out, and I'm not a child. There aren't any USB charging points either. 😒
