The staff made my first trip to Japan feel comfortable and memorable. They spoke only a little English, but were so courteous, kind, and helpful that it wasn't a problem. I'm very grateful to them. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, with a riverside park nearby that's lovely for unwinding. The nearest JR Station is a short walk away, and there's a local Don Quijote in the neighborhood too. I also loved the free bike rental for exploring the city on my own. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

I loved how peaceful the residential neighborhood felt. It was safe and close enough to the nearest metros, and much quieter than the pricier, noisier areas. The room was huge and really clean, with fantastic water pressure. The service and room both impressed me from the start. Breakfast was better than at any other hotel I've stayed in. The chef owns a bakery down the street and served guests some of her own bread. They also lend umbrellas if you need one. The manager helped me a lot when unexpected circumstances came up, more than anyone else would have. Thanks to her, and to Ben at the front desk, for a great stay.

The lobby was a cozy place to wait before check-in. There's a coffee machine, so you can get a cup whenever you like, and the high, dark-painted ceiling is really distinctive. My dad especially liked the deep bathtub and strong water pressure in our clean bathroom. The room was spacious by Japanese standards, too. The hotel is in a peaceful residential area, yet it's only two stations from Osaka sta. and two from Osaka castle, which made getting around convenient. The staff were all friendly and helpful, including those who weren't Japanese. I'd love to come back if I get the chance!

The bathroom and washroom are spacious, and the facilities made the price feel worthwhile. There's internet, bilingual reception, rental items, and laundry. Check-in was quick, just a few minutes, and the staff I met were polite, professional, and helpful. They spoke good English and other languages. I was especially impressed by the cleaning. The bathroom ventilator cover and hairdryer cover were dust-free, as were the mirrors and AC vents. The hotel is close to Osaka station, only two stops along the Loop line, yet getting off at Sakuranomiya feels like being out of town because it's so peaceful. I loved the surroundings and atmosphere, especially as a Studio Ghibli fan.

The location is really inconvenient, and the staff barely speak English. We asked months in advance to shorten our stay, but they still insisted on charging us. Cleaning was below the standard I've come to expect in Japan. Avoid.
