Toho Hotel

Toho Hotel is in a good spot, but my stay let me down. The windows don’t seal well, so noise from outside comes through loudly, and the room got very cold at night because the heating didn’t work. There was no complimentary water in the room, just a funnel in the lobby, which was inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room was a good size and close to several stations and tourist areas, but a lot of things made the stay frustrating. There was no water provided, and the hotel told me to drink from the bathroom sink. There was no laundry service either. The room smelled of cigarettes the entire time, which I hated since I don’t smoke. I’m only 5 11 and still couldn’t fit under the shower. The AC had no language setting and was only in Japanese, so I struggled to operate it. The automatic front doors also kept failing: it took at least three tries of walking forward and backward before they opened.

The service was great, and the room, though small, was comfortable. The hotel is very conveniently placed, near a station, convenience store, supermarket, and tourist attractions. One of the best places I stayed in Japan. I’d stay here again when I return. Thank you.

I slept comfortably in the clean sheets and beds, and there were plenty of toiletries, including a comb and hair dryer. I especially liked the location: stations are within walking distance, including one with a direct route to KIX, and Mega Donki, Daiso, Shinsekai, and other spots are close. From my window I could see Tsutenkaku Tower. The double curtains also gave me more privacy. They let me check in 15 minutes early for free, which I appreciated. Free luggage storage comes with a lock and key. There’s a pantry on the first floor, and I believe coffee and tea are available 24 hours. I’ll definitely book again!
