Guest House Nisso worked really well for our family of two adults and two children, aged seven and 10. The apartment is compact but thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of storage and sliding doors that let you close off the kitchen and dining space from the sleeping area. It was modern and very clean, with everything we needed and then some. There was a cold filtered water machine, good toiletries, washing detergent, a hoover, and an iron and ironing board. The kids also enjoyed the quality puzzles and toys, and the foot massager. We liked the location too. Restaurants and shops are nearby, and the station is a five-minute walk away, four stops from Universal Studios. The fantastic Teppanyaki Restaurant next to the apartment block is well worth a visit. Check-in was easy, the instructions were clear, and helpful English guides explained the equipment. This was among our most enjoyable and best value stays in Japan. We’d happily choose the apartment again if we return to the area. I’d recommend Guest House Nisso to couples or families with younger children who are comfortable in a small apartment. Thanks for a great stay!
A handy base for seeing Osaka, with a clean, tiny apartment that still has all the features and gadgets you could need. You’ll need to carry your case up the stairs, as the other review mentioned. The thin futon mattresses were the only thing I’d fault. They’d normally be fine, but I had a bad back, so I slept on the sofa bed instead, which was very comfortable.
Little boy.
It felt comfortable and homey, and the windows opened for fresh air. The toilet and bath are separate, and the bath was relaxing. I was thrilled that the freezer had sweet potatoes, which were incredibly tasty. There was so much provided: an air purifier, kitchen and cooking utensils, washing machine with dryer, microwave, rice cooker, water dispenser, hairdryer, wrap and foil, knives, detergent, sponges, a lidded bin, vacuum cleaner, bath salts, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels, toothbrushes, and tableware. There were also picture books, stuffed animals, children's toys like Othello, plus a table and chairs. The washer and dryer were fantastic, and detergent was supplied. It’s close to Universal Studios Japan, and I was very satisfied with the stay and the great deal I got. This was the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, and I’d love to return. The one improvement I’d suggest is an elevator, since the room is on the fourth floor and the stairs were a bit much ❤︎
It’s in a quiet area near the Universal building, and the train station is very close. The rooms are tiny but comfortable, with just enough room for four people. Cleanliness was average. There’s a washing machine and hairdryer, though the stairs are narrow and made getting a large suitcase upstairs difficult.
