Fujinoboukaen Hotel

There’s a buffet restaurant and an onsen bath, and the place is pretty, if small, with lots of plants. We had big crabs at the restaurant and arranged a birthday celebration, both of which were memorable. The rooms are really small, in a traditional Japanese style, with basic amenities. At breakfast, we could see the beauty of Mt. Fuji from the restaurant. It’s an amazing view of the mountain, and autumn would be a great time to visit.

From my room, I could see Mt. Fuji, and the scenery outside the hotel was beautiful and romantic. The room wasn’t very large, but it had two futons that can be joined into a larger one, enough for two people or a small family with two parents and two children. There’s a buffet restaurant and an onsen bath. Well worth the money.

The ninth-floor restaurant was a real highlight, with fresh sashimi and delicate tempura alongside a view of Fuji at sunrise. On a clear morning, it’s pure magic. The food and scenery made for a lovely meal, and the onsen on the third floor lets you soak while looking at that iconic mountain. The traditional rooms feel cozy. It can get busy with tour groups, and there aren’t many dining choices nearby, but the Fuji backdrop and refined Japanese dishes make this a serene, scenic place to eat.

There’s a lot to enjoy here, including a hot spring bath with a view of Mt. Fuji. The meals should suit people of any age or gender. Staff hospitality is fantastic, and the cleaning is very thorough and meticulous. Everything feels carefully thought through and put into practice, giving the hotel a strong edge for its price range.
