Tabist Hotel New Osamura Sabae Inter

The location is handy, with an A-COOP supermarket, a Valor-affiliated drugstore (V-drug), and several convenience stores nearby. Otherwise, it was an average stay. Apart from the self-check-in machine, the place felt old, there weren't really any services, and the amenities by the elevator were sparse.

The place looked clean and renovated, and it's convenient for the highway, with convenience stores, supermarkets, and drugstores close by. Check-in and getting amenities are both self-service. For a multi-night stay they provide towels and other items, but you put all your rubbish in a basket. I did wonder why there were no trash bags.

The rooms at Osamura were bigger and cleaner than Alpha 1, and the facilities felt on par with a modern business hotel despite the older exterior. There were outlets all over the room, several washers and dryers with cashless payment, and plenty of shops nearby, including drugstores, supermarkets, and convenience stores. Front desk service was in a different league from Alpha 1. I had no complaints. At Alpha 1 in Sabae, the TV barely worked, laundry was a problem, and the air conditioning didn't work even in summer. There was trash under the bed on my first day, no outlets by the bed, and I couldn't park despite staying for a long time. It was the worst hotel I'd stayed in during the past 10 years, so Osamura was the best by comparison. Breakfast and dinner are available if you reserve. In summer, they even fill your cooler with ice, which is thoughtful service.

The hotel rate was cheap, so I had money left to try a nearby conveyor belt sushi restaurant, which was great. Breakfast was tasty too, and the room had Wi-Fi and a TV with YouTube. Check-in went smoothly once I had my QR code ready. It's a bit of a walk from Sabae Station, but there are restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel.
