For 7,500 yen, I didn’t feel I got enough. The breakfast only starts at 7:00, which is late, and the free morning snack is just bread, coffee, and tea. Parking seems to be allowed in a way that blocks the entrance and exit, and large vehicles can’t get in later. There are some pluses: it’s close to the station, they clean every day, which you don’t see as often now, and the room quality is about what you’d expect of a hotel in Japan. But the facilities are old and the cleaning can be sloppy. There was water left in the kettle from the previous guest. There’s just one elevator and the faucet is a mixer type. The whole building shares air conditioning, so it gets hot in both summer and winter. You can also see straight into the windows from the apartment building across the street.
Takeout worked well for dinner since there’s a microwave in the lobby, and there are izakayas and other places nearby. Mita Station is about a five-minute walk straight down the road. There’s apparently a 7-Eleven at the station and a Lawson close to the hotel. The building’s age shows in the bathroom stains, which daily cleaning can’t get rid of, but the room seemed clean enough. I’d seen the reviews about there being no bidet and was prepared for that. The whole building has shared air conditioning, which was uncomfortable for me as someone who gets hot easily, though I can understand it at this price. It’s fine if all you need is a place to sleep. There’s only a small selection of amenities, though I did get some candy in the lobby. Breakfast is a light meal, just sliced bread and rolls, with margarine and jam, plus coffee or tea from the drink dispenser. They also accept barcode payments. I felt people who skip breakfast were missing out, and thought they could add a few more items and offer a 100-yen breakfast.
There are lots of restaurants nearby, so the location is good, but parking is limited and I had to use a nearby coin lot. The room fittings are quite old, with black mold on the bathroom walls. The toilet seat isn’t heated, which is especially cold in winter, and the building-wide air conditioning makes it hard to adjust the temperature.
For the price, it was nice to have a light breakfast included, and the layout, location, and parking were all good. Still, no washlet was my one complaint, and that left me disappointed with the stay.
They serve about five kinds of bread in the morning, and Mita Station is only a five-minute walk away.
