Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was spotless and brand new, just what I expect from APA. I stayed four nights during the Snow Festival, paying at least $100 less per night than other hotels in the area. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Susukino and the main shopping street, which explains the lower price and was fine with me. Sapporo Station is about a 20-minute walk through the underground passage. For the airport, if you have bags, it MIGHT be easier to take the orange Tozai line from the station beside the hotel, Nishi Juitchome, then change at Oyachi to the airport bus, which takes cash only. We preferred that on arrival in the evening, since same-day bag sending wasn’t possible. For same-day delivery to the airport, use Airporter. They work with APA, and bags need to be ready in the lobby at 9a.

Parking tip: there are three paid lots around the hotel. The one attached to it fills first and costs the most at 1800 yen a day. The lot just to the left when you leave the hotel is a little cheaper at 1500 yen daily, and parking there drops to 800 yen per day on weekends. This was a newly opened place near Odori Park, and my room felt fresh and clean. The staff were kind and friendly throughout. Breakfast was included and served by the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor. It was decent. You can walk to Sapporo TV Tower, Susukino, and Odori subway station. If I visit Sapporo again, I’ll return.

I had a two-single-bed room with everything we needed for a good stay. It had an electric kettle and tea, plus the usual bathroom supplies and more: a hair comb, small face towel, toothbrush, shaver, face and hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The bed was comfortable, and the room WiFi was amazing. There was also a sofa, which I used to put my luggage on. The hotel is in a very strategic part of Sapporo. You can take the tram or bus to the railway station, then travel across Hokkaido or around Sapporo. Slippers were provided, and there are vending machines, a microwave, and a convenience store in the lobby. APA Hotel can be reached at +81 11 281 8111.
