Comfort Hotel Sendai West

The free breakfast was nice, and there’s free ice and a hot drink bar available 24 hours. JR Sendai is about a five-minute walk away, and Toyota rent a car Sendai west office is right across the street. Best of the best.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I’d definitely return. The free breakfast was just right to get the day going, and there are complimentary drinks and coffee in the lounge until midnight. The room itself was small and quite dated, with pretty flat pillows. Sendai station is a bit of a walk, though Aobadoori station is closer. Thanks for all the hard work and kindness.

The hotel has a self-service luggage storage area in the lobby on the second floor, and breakfast is included from 6:30 a.m. It was popular, with guests already lining up when it opened. We were there at 2:50 p.m., but check-in is exactly at 3:00, so staff asked us to come back then. We left our bags and went to lunch. It’s about a five-minute walk to Sendai train station, on a main road on the west side, the busier part of town. Coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and the main shopping streets are within walking distance. Our room was the usual small Japanese business hotel size. The bathroom was small too, and the bathtub was so high I had to stretch to climb in. We had a window, but it faced the building’s inner courtyard and other room windows.

The free breakfast was pretty good, and they have a coin laundry. Rooms were nice, with different pillow textures to suit different people. The bathroom was average. A fine hotel.
