Hotel Route Inn Sendai Izumi Inter

The front desk staff were really helpful, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The interior had calming wallpaper and plenty of space. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, with lots of buffet choices, plus coffee and roasted green tea. It was nice to get a hot meal in the morning. It's only a few minutes by car from Izumi Interchange, along National Route 4. Watch for the side road into the parking lot. Parking is free in a multi-story lot, though it's a bit tight, so be careful if you're driving a 3-number minivan or a similar sized vehicle.

The big bath was a welcome way to unwind, and the hotel had one just like other Route Inns. Breakfast had the usual familiar options. The location is handy, right by National Route 4 and close to Sendai-IzumiIC. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and there's also an izakaya in a separate building beside the hotel, possibly part of the Route Inn group. One thing to keep in mind is that a ¥300 lodging tax is now added to the accommodation cost as of '26/1.

The bedside table was handy for setting my phone down safely to charge while I was lying in bed. The room also had framed pictures, though it would've been nicer if they'd been hung straight. Coming from downtown Sendai, the route takes you south in a roundabout way, and it could be hard to find without navigation. Maybe it was the location or the dates, but the price felt a bit high.

The snack set plan made dinner at the on-site izakaya satisfying. It came with drinks, simple sashimi, yakitori, and a small side dish. It was my first stay here, and the room was comfortable and spacious. I'd come back if I have the chance.
