I usually choose this hotel or Associa when I'm in Shizuoka. This one is handy because it's right beside the Hobby Square, which I visit, and I think the views of Mt. Fuji may be better here. Even if you can't see it from your room, you can at least see it from the hallways. The building isn't very modern, but the rooms are more spacious for it. The bathroom was acceptable, though it needed more cleaning around the edges. I also found the semi-disposable slippers unpleasant; they should have been thrown away several stays ago. If it's raining, look for the raised covered route from the station through the building beside the hotel.

I don't think this deserves a four-star rating. The room was old and unclean, and everything was self-service with no room service. At the front desk, I felt unwelcome because I don't speak Japanese, which seemed in keeping with the local culture in Shizuoka.

We were tired and only stayed one night. The hotel was okay, but no non-smoking rooms were available, and cockroaches crawled around at night.

The location is convenient and great, but the place is run down, the rooms smell of smoke, and check-in was poor. When we arrived, someone was being arrested. I left disappointed.

The best thing here is the location, less than a two-minute walk from the station. The room itself was kind of dirty, with lots of stains on the carpet and a dirty bathtub. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi was slow and kept cutting out. Still, it was an okay stay overall.
