Villa Chillon

Affordable and totally worth it, with beautiful views and a beach right next door.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was such a great place for my first trip to Shodoshima that I wanted to share. The living room has a breathtaking ocean view, and the bath was incredibly clean, with a wonderful view while soaking. The bath, toilet, and other water areas were all very clean. Opening the window lets in the soothing sound of the waves. The water is calm and good for swimming, and there’s a popular fishing spot beside the property where local anglers go in the morning and evening. It’s about a five-minute drive from Sakate Port, and there’s a bicycle rental shop right across from the property, so getting around was convenient. I’d gladly stay at Villa Shion again and recommend it to anyone reading this.

The room, bed, and bathroom were all very clean and easy to use, and I’d love to visit again. The setting was refreshing, with a breathtaking ocean view at every time of day and the gentle sound of the waves.

We made lovely memories on our three-generation family trip. The owner had put together a very thoughtful manual, and we appreciated the care in it. The inn was clean and comfortable, and the sea right in front was perfect for swimming and fishing, as well as watching the sunset. It’s easy to reach from Sakate Port, and you can rent bicycles right outside the inn, which is really convenient.
