More travelers seem to be choosing to skip hotel breakfast and leave meals to outside options, so they can move at their own pace and avoid crowds and the tiredness that comes with following the same routine as everyone else. That gives hotels room to focus on being places to stay, while guests eat at convenience stores or restaurants. It can make trips more efficient, but there's also a concern that regional food culture and variety may be lost. New lodging models need to take that into account.

The location was handy, just a short walk from the shopping street and public transport, and the hotel has free parking in about half a dozen nearby car parks. I stayed in the new wing, where everything looked new, clean, and tidy. The decor was pretty plain, but the room was spacious. The large hot bath has indoor and outdoor areas, plus a cold bath and sauna, and guests can relax in a room with full body massage chairs. Very good value for the money. I'd stay here again.

Over 20 years of traveling in Japan, this was the best hotel I've stayed at. It's quiet and well managed, and I found it much better than Dormy Inn after staying there more than 30 times. The room layout is convenient, with the toilet separate from the bath, and there's a small table for snacks and beer. The men's facilities include a small sauna and a perfect open air bath. Great value in Japan.

The Japanese-style breakfast was delicious and served from 6:30 to 9:00 am. There was also a food corner during Christmas. I stayed two nights on a business trip, and the hotel was quiet, with a non-smoking area. You can rent pillows, and I slept well. It's right by the shopping area, which is extremely convenient.
