Super Hotel Takamatsu Tamachi

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean, but the space is really tight. Anyone tall or large, or travelling with a lot of bags, may struggle, especially with the tiny bathrooms. The windows are small too. One of the three rooms we booked had a frosted window that made it feel quite claustrophobic. There's also at least one smoking floor, floor 9, so avoid that if you don't smoke or want the stale smoke smell.

We couldn't use the hot springs because we have tattoos, which was disappointing. It would've been nice if they offered a private half-hour booking or a time slot for people with tattoos or foreigners. The rooms were nice, with a double bed and a single loft that fit three of us, though the space is pretty small and very Japanese. The TV had YouTube and Netflix, which we appreciated. Staff were always welcoming and helpful, and breakfast had lots of choices. I really liked being able to pick a pillow firmness from the pillow wall.

Clean and comfortable, and overall not bad. There's just one shared public onsen bath, with separate times for women and men. The schedule felt pretty silly: men got it about 90% of the time, while women's slots were only around dinner and breakfast.

It's right in the arcade, and there's an onsen at the hotel with parking nearby. The place is nice, just a little small, and comes with the basics. Staff were really helpful. When you arrive, you can choose five small amenities, face masks included. For the price, it's a decent balance of savings and comfort. I'd recommend it if you're looking to save without giving up every little convenience.
