The staff responded quickly whenever we needed them. The location is fantastic, with a really good bread place right next door and plenty of restaurants and attractions less than a 10-minute walk away. The room was nice, though definitely small, and the sink's awkwardly placed right beside the beds.

We were a family of five and found this place good value. The English-speaking team was helpful, and we loved the clean, thoughtfully designed space. The shared area by the entrance was especially nice for hanging out, eating, or just relaxing.

We stayed in a premium room, where the beds were comfortable and the girls loved the loft. My kids had worried the place might be too fancy for them, but there wasn't anything in the rooms they could break. The guesthouse is beautiful and in a great part of Takayama. The host spoke good English, and the kitchen had everything we needed apart from a freezer. It would suit families, groups, or couples. We'll come back.

I loved the room's treehouse kind of feel. Staying here was such a unique experience, and the location is great, right beside the best bakery ever. The odd part was finding a tissue shoved into a gap in the wall in my room. It was disgusting. There were no staff there, and the room keys were left out in the open, so random people could walk in from the street and take one. Japan is super safe, though, so I wouldn't worry about that.
