The house was lovely and newly renovated. Getting checked in and out was quick and simple. For checkout, you scan a QR code, so there's no need to return to reception. The city center was an easy walk away.

The communication was great and quick, and the house itself was one of the best places we've stayed. Everything felt brand new and high quality. The location couldn't be better: about a 10-minute walk from the station and 5 minutes from the main attraction. A must-stay!

For a reasonable price, this was a great place to stay. I especially liked the unusually comfortable living room, with the high ceiling and striking look of a Machiya house. The bathing facilities were superb. This was one of our first stops during our first trip around Japan in March, and it left a very good first impression. Reception staff were excellent and guided us through check-in.

The cypress scent was lovely as soon as we walked in. We were seven people, including two children, and the house had plenty of space for us, with several rooms and a large living room upstairs. The children were thrilled. We had the Western-style breakfast and enjoyed it. It would have helped if someone had asked our yukata sizes beforehand, since we couldn't choose the sizes ourselves.
