Hida Hotel Plaza

Breakfast had so many choices, and everything tasted really nice. I loved it! The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. There's also an onsen and a huge souvenir store inside the hotel.

The rooms are good and the location is convenient. The Japanese breakfast buffet was good, but the continental options could use work: cold scrambled eggs and bacon, and bread with a strange taste. Dinner at the restaurants was disappointing and lacked atmosphere, though there are plenty of good places nearby. The staff were all very nice, but most didn't speak enough English to arrange a reservation at the hotel or another restaurant. They also struggled to help us organize our luggage transfer.

The staff and the hotel were both amazing. Keep up the good work!

We had a great time at the public bath, even though my kids and I were unsure what to do at first. A kind staff member showed us around and explained everything, from leaving shoes on the shelves and putting our clothes and towels in a cubby, to undressing there, sliding the door shut, washing before getting into the tub, and leaving used towels in the right place. The hotel gave us fresh bathrobes and towels every day, and the kids wanted to go to the bath every single day. It was such a relaxing part of our stay. We stayed in a tatami-style room in June. The hotel seemed old, but it was well cared for and our room was cleaned every day. Staff came by each morning and evening to make the futon, restock tea bags, and sometimes leave snacks. I liked getting to try different ones before buying some downstairs at the gift shop. The staff were welcoming, and I'd recommend staying here. Next time, I'd like to try a meal or breakfast option too.
