The hotel was spotless, and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. We slept comfortably and felt it was well deserved. Taketa is a beautiful, unspoilt town with excellent places to eat, though there aren't many hotels to choose from. We were glad we stayed here.

I couldn't find any information about this place in English and was worried it might be bad, but it turned out to be a lovely little gem. It's new, spotless, comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The Japanese breakfast was good quality. On a Monday, when the other restaurants were closed, we had dinner there and really enjoyed the food. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A comfortable, modest business hotel with nicely sized rooms, parking out front, and friendly, helpful staff, though their English is limited. The Japanese breakfast was good, and dinner was good too when ordered in advance.

February 16-18, 2018. We had to take stairs to the room on the second floor, which was fine. Breakfast had lots of different side dishes, and they served a varied selection on both mornings. It was a nice way to start the day. I only wish the TV could receive BS channels.

We stayed two nights at the end of October 2025 and were welcomed by a host with excellent English. Our large Japanese-style room was on the ground floor beside the dining room, but the washi paper screens kept out enough sound for us to sleep peacefully. The weather was very cold, though the modern air conditioning let us heat the room. It had a roomy tatami area, a hallway with a sink, and separate rooms for the bath and toilet. The hotel manager brought breakfast on a tray and explained which sauces went with which dishes. There wasn't any Western food, but we enjoyed the chance to experience Japanese culture. Evening meals are available, though we didn't try them. We had a very good stay in a pretty little town with cultural sights. If music interests you, there's a musical tunnel to discover, and even the road into town makes music as you drive over it.
