We had a really good three-night stay. The host was incredibly friendly and helped us get around the island at any hour. Thanks for everything, Tetsu-ji. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

At night it gets very dark, and you can see the stars. The cabin is truly in the middle of nowhere, which could be exactly what you want, but Aharen Beach is a 30-minute walk away and the cabin is up a hill. Getting around means asking the host for rides, and he seemed very reluctant to take us. He wanted to pick us up in the morning, leave us there until dusk, then bring us back to the cabin. I found him rude, so I’m leaving this bad review. As for the cabin itself, it looks exactly like the pictures.

Private, quiet, and good value. It’s only a few minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen in Japan. The caretakers are very accommodating and just a phone call away if you need anything.
