Centurion Hotel Ikebukuro

The front desk is on the third floor, and the staff were really friendly and spoke English. They can store your bags before check-in or after check-out. My room and bathroom were small but clean, though mind the step when leaving the bathroom. I stayed one night, and the location by Ikebukuro Station was excellent. Ramen shops and restaurants are just across the street, there's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and next door is a soba and tempura place open 24 hours. Narita Airport is about an hour away. Great stay, with five-star location and service for me.

A 7Eleven on the ground floor is a big plus. The room is a decent budget option, though you're paying for the location. It could use some attention: the walls had marks and damage from previous guests' suitcases, and the unit bathroom made the room feel even smaller.

We spent two weeks here while visiting Tokyo. The room was very small, but clean and nice enough that it was manageable. The location worked perfectly for us, just a three-minute walk from the station, making it easy to get anywhere.

The staff made the biggest difference. They helped me figure out which train lines to take and where to go, and one person even printed the route on A4 paper without me asking. The convenience store next door was useful for drinks and snacks, and two lots away there's a Japanese restaurant with delicious, reasonably priced meals that opens at 7am, handy for an early start. Ikebukuro station is less than a 10-minute walk away. Compared with the busy city foot traffic, the area around the hotel felt calmer and less crowded. The room was a decent size and well equipped by Tokyo standards. I stayed three nights and it was absolutely worth it. This hotel and the nearby restaurants are a good way to experience life outside Shibuya's hectic pace. I know I'll be back. Thanks for a lovely surprise that exceeded my expectations.
