Sotetsu Fresa Inn Ginza Nanachome Hotel

The rooms are small, as they usually are in Japan, but as a tourist you're mostly out exploring anyway. Ours were clean and the location was perfect. I'd stay here again.

We loved the room on the 7th floor during our first two nights. After a two-day break, we came back for another two nights and were put on the 11th floor, where the experience was very different. The fridge wasn't getting cold, only slightly cool. Reception sent someone to check, and we were told these weren't real fridges but coolers meant to keep things cool. That didn't match what we'd experienced upstairs on the 7th floor. There, the “cooler” had worked like a proper fridge, and our milk and food were cold the next morning. On the 11th floor, we tried milk again, and it was still warm the next day. The hotel should be upfront and honest about this. We won't return, and I would NOT RECOMMEND it.

A FamilyMart on the first floor was really handy for a late-night snack, and the staff were super friendly. The rooms were clean and had lots of amenities. It's a great hotel right in Ginza, just a short walk from Shimbashi station. I'd gladly come back anytime.

It's a nice hotel in a very quiet neighborhood. Check-in was quick, the shower was very good, and the bed was comfortable, though the room was tiny. There's a 7eleven downstairs for morning coffee, and the train station is a seven-minute walk away. I'd return and recommend it.
