City Hotel N.U.T.S.

The hotel is small, but it’s only a few minutes’ walk from the Godzilla head, and I wouldn’t mind staying again. Our family room was decent, though they don’t provide baby cots, so a baby would need to share the bed with you. Parking costs 2200 yen or more per night, and there are only three spaces in front, one of them accessible parking. The hotel may need to move your car during the night, so you have to leave your keys at the front desk. Two spaces block the garage door they use for luggage storage. You can’t park there before check-in, only after you check in and pay. I’m unsure about early arrivals, so you could check with staff. One staff member threw me off. When I asked about parking, she just waved toward the front, then later seemed to yell at us for parking by the entrance, which we thought was allowed. The nicer staff helped us most of the time, and the rude one was much friendlier the next morning, lol. Maybe she was just having an off day.

The rooms were cleaned daily and felt spacious compared with other hotels. The location is near a convenience store and train station, and the staff handled my questions promptly. Most of them were friendly. The one downside was the receptionist who helped us at check-in around 6pm on Nov 1, 2025. She had a hostile attitude.

We stayed with my family from December 29 - January 4,2026, and I wasn’t happy with the reception staff. They were rude and unhelpful, and didn’t seem professional. As the face of the hotel, I expected them to greet guests warmly instead of seeming in a bad mood. The lobby was small, and we had to collect our water from reception each day. The location was decent, a short walk from a station, with restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores nearby. But for what we paid, I wouldn’t stay again. There was no breakfast, and we could have booked a more central hotel for the same amount. One of the three bedrooms we got was in another building and felt even worse, like an apartment dormitory. How can they charge $400 per room per night?

The comfort room was decent in size and fine for our four-night stay, and housekeeping cleaned it every day. Most of the reception team were nice, but one young woman at the front desk was rude and unfriendly throughout, and seemed to treat all the guests that way. I’d choose a different hotel next time I’m in Tokyo.
