eos HOTEL Ikebukuro

I never got to stay at the hotel because booking.com had accidentally cancelled my reservation, and I only found out when I arrived and couldn't check in. The young man at reception was lovely, clearly felt bad for me, and helped me find somewhere else to stay. I was so upset that I forgot to get his name. He was at the check-in desk at 1500hrs today, Friday 20th March. Thanks to him. Maybe I'll get to stay here next time I'm in Tokyo, since the rooms looked much larger and have two windows.

The place had everything I needed for a good night's sleep, and there was a great selection of tea. Staff were generally friendly, though I had one bad interaction with a non-Japanese receptionist who just said no instead of looking for a solution. Even so, the stay was great overall.

This has always been our favorite place to stay in Tokyo, and we used to book through the official website. This time we ran into a problem with our Priceline.com booking. Manager Mr. Simizu and front desk staff member Mr. Anup took the initiative and worked out a perfect solution, even though the issue wasn't their fault. Great customer service. We'll definitely book direct next time. Thumbs up for the staff here! 👍

The staff were really friendly and spoke good English, and there was a handy stand with amenities. The room was small but had what I needed, including air conditioning and a bathtub. It was surprisingly quiet for central Tokyo, and Ikebukuro Station was only a short walk away. The ground floor also has a small café and a smoking pod.
