The rooms were nice, though the hotel itself is small and has some drawbacks. The shower pressure was weak, and with my long hair, washing it properly took a long time. Service also fell short. The staff seemed unwelcoming and didn't smile, which affected our stay. If you're traveling with a baby, request a crib ahead of time. My husband forgot, and when we arrived, they said one wouldn't be available despite our request. They offered no other sleeping arrangement, so we had to improvise. We prefer not to share a bed because of SIDS concerns. I didn't see any other babies there, so I suspect the crib issue was due to not asking early enough rather than a general shortage. With limited options nearby, it felt like the hotel might not think it needs to treat guests as well as it could. I think both the facilities and service could use improvement.

I was really disappointed by my stay. The reception staff were extremely rude, and the room was tiny. The public bath was dirty and didn't look properly cleaned. Given the poor quality across the board, the price felt unreasonably high.

JTBRurubu RURUBU had the lowest booking price compared with agoda. Staff told me I could pay an extra ¥3,000 per night to switch to a room with a beautiful night view. Otherwise, I'd be assigned a room looking at a concrete wall.

The river view was lovely, and the lobby and room were clean and looked after. The hotel is in an upscale shopping district near the station. We’re used to compact rooms in Japan, but this one still felt small for the price. There was barely any storage, with no drawers, and although the bed fit two, it was so stiff that movement on one side shook the whole thing.

The view was great and I enjoyed staying here, but there were no vegetarian food choices. Across my last two stays, which totaled two weeks, I got by on fruit and yogurt. Unfortunately, my request for vegetarian options at breakfast wasn’t taken into account.
