Grand Hyatt Tokyo

We finished our Japan trip with three nights here, and it was a great stay. The rooms felt luxurious, the city view was gorgeous, and the bathroom had just about everything you could want. Staff were very friendly and the amenities were as expected. Shops, trains, and buses are close by, and Shibuya is about 25 minutes away. Nothing to complain about!

The Grand Club meals were a highlight for me. Breakfast had lots of choices. The Western food was just okay, but the Japanese dishes were excellent. I also really liked the evening cocktail hour, especially the Takoyaki and salad. I had mixed feelings at first on this business trip. I arrived late on a rare freezing, stormy night, and the room on the 7th floor felt cold, with a large marble wall above the desk and a window that seemed small for the room. Around 2:00 AM, loud scratching and thumping from upstairs went on for more than 30 minutes. I couldn't sleep, so I called guest services. Between that and occasional sirens from the nearby fire station, I was awake all night. The next day, after work, I got back around 7:00 PM and the hotel manager called to apologize. I only asked for earplugs, but they offered to upgrade me to a suite. It seemed overly generous, but I accepted so I wouldn't have the same noise problem again. The 19th-floor suite had a stunning view and was perfectly quiet overhead. The interior and furniture showed some age, but the room was well arranged, with an excellent desk and chair like an executive office, and a comfortable bed tucked behind it. I only wish I hadn't had to leave early and come back late each day. The hotel is in the southern part of Roppongi Hills, surprisingly peaceful for a busy city center. The staff gave careful, considerate service at a "Park Hyatt level." I could still hear the fire station from the suite, though. It might be helpful to offer earplugs at arrival with a note about occasional city noise.

The views were amazing, and there are lots of attractions, restaurants, and shopping nearby. A subway station about five minutes away makes it quick to get around Tokyo. The hotel is big and very nice, with great rooms. Staff are kind and quick to help. I'd recommend it to friends and family, and would come back sometime soon.

We loved the whole stay at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, and we're in Osaka now missing it already. The service was the best I've experienced anywhere in the world, and we travel all over. When we come back to Tokyo, this is where we'll stay. Our king executive suite was incredible and spacious. The bathroom was thoughtfully laid out, with the toilet separate from the sink and vanity. The wet room kept the warmth in and felt comfortable, and after walking 20k steps a day, that soaking tub was amazing. The location was great too. You can get to Roppongi station by walking through the building.
