The room was spotless and well cared for, with comfortable beds and a massage chair that was a lifesaver after my long flight to Tokyo. The hotel offers a lot of free extras, including a simple breakfast, desserts, coffee, water, and a wide choice of bath products. For the price, I thought it was incredible value, with comfort and quality at a budget-friendly rate. It’s slightly off the main road, which worked well: close to Shinjuku’s activity but away from the constant street noise. I’d recommend it.
Guests can get drinks, coffee, and snacks around the clock, all included in the room rate. Alcoholic drinks are included after 6:00 PM, and breakfast is good. There’s also a children’s play area and exercise equipment. The metro and train station are nearby. I’m pleased with the hotel and its excellent service, and would recommend it.
We had a terrible stay and won’t be back. This was the most expensive of the five hotels we stayed at in Japan, and by far the worst. It’s nowhere near the advertised five stars, more like 3.5, and badly overpriced. The staff weren’t pleasant and spoke very little English. The strong Balinese theme was too much for us, especially the Bali music playing even in the bistro while we were trying to eat. Food quality and choices were poor, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It seemed to be only a mattress base with hard springs and a thin doona, with no mattress or even a Japanese futon. There was noise and turnover next door, where a room appeared to be used for short stays and serviced several times a day. The hotel accepts short stays, so it can basically be used as a love hotel. We were also shocked by the guest rules. Anyone could walk into the hotel, there were no security cards for the lifts, and everyone gets a room key. Yet they’re very strict about visitors, charging for every 15 minutes they spend in the hotel. I’ve travelled the world and never come across anything so strict. There’s a lot this hotel needs to improve. We’ll advise our family and friends to avoid it, too.
Our only real issue was some noise outside at night. It didn’t bother us, but might affect a very light sleeper. You’re in Tokyo, after all. The place was so lovely that we didn’t want to leave, and if I return to Tokyo, I wouldn’t consider another hotel. There were three of us, and our room was lovely and spacious enough to comfortably fit two more. We especially enjoyed the huge bath after long days out, along with the lobby massage chairs and foot baths. Room service through the TV was convenient, and we ordered a few times. Staff were friendly and helpful, assisting with luggage shipping and even finding plasters for our blisters. When they had trouble with English, they found another staff member who could help. There were lots of facilities and generous free extras. The main lobby had spa products, cosmetics, desserts, and tea bags, while the games room and sports area were free to use. The location was great, about a ten-minute walk to Shinjuku main station and closer to smaller stations, with FamilyMart and 7/11 across the road. Thanks so much!
A beautiful, spacious Bali-themed resort in Tokyo, with very helpful reception staff. There are lots of free amenities, including a hot bath and massage chair. The food was tasty and inexpensive. Highly recommended.
