The colorful rooms make for a stylish, clean interior, and I was told women liked them. Staff were friendly, and they accepted my request to pay by card. I had worried after reading some negative reviews, but everything went fine. There's a water server, which I preferred to the kettle I couldn't work out, and I brought my own paper cups. You can pay by cash or card at the machine by reception. I also liked being able to see room availability on the official website, though it would be even better if it showed the rooms by hotel rank. The touchscreen price display was confusing at first: it listed rooms and rates for breaks, overnight stays, and extensions, with the short-term rate only appearing after I chose a room. I couldn't figure out the room lights until I put my card key in its designated spot. There was a gap in the bathroom door and it felt cold, though maybe it hadn't been shut fully. My room was smaller than the official website picture, perhaps because it used a wide-angle lens. The start time seems to begin when you select a room, and it's written on the receipt. I'd use this hotel again when I'm out in Kinshicho.

For 5,500 yen, I had a clean, pleasant room for a short Friday morning stay. The bath was nice, and they provided bubble bath and massage lotion.

I was disappointed by the Wi-Fi in room 307. It's supposed to be available in every room, but for some reason I had no connection there. My phone's 4G was weak too. That kind of signal is far too poor for one of the more expensive rooms, though it might be fine in a cheaper one. I stayed on a weekday and paid the listed price. Since it was the second-highest ranked room, I expected more. A pillar made the bathroom cramped, and while the tub was roomy for one, it was tight for two. The water dispenser was a nice touch. The room was dirty overall, with dust in many places, even though the bed was made neatly, and the air conditioner was dirty too. The receptionist had a bad attitude. Payment is automated, so there's no need to show your face at reception; they should make it so guests can't see them.

I looked for the TV remote as soon as I came in and couldn't find it. It had been wedged between the sofa. Cleaning the room, bathroom, and floor was haphazard, with dust, hair, and trash scattered around. I know the building is old and worn, but the smell and cleanliness could surely be better. It was unpleasant, and I won't stay here again.
