The neighborhood is great, with good bakeries, small local restaurants, other nearby food spots, and public transport. I'd stay again. People complain about room size, but this is Tokyo, not Texas or Missouri. Big rooms here cost a lot. This one is a decent size and has everything you need. Online check-in provides the code. The only downside is that there's no elevator.

The remote service was really good. They let us check in very early since they don't really have luggage storage, and were available when we had trouble with the door code, even though the instructions were good. The wifi was excellent. I'd consider staying again if the price were great, but I'd prefer somewhere more comfortable. There were a lot of annoyances. The ground floor felt like a cave, and the place works best if you're mostly out and only come back to sleep. There was no nightstand, nowhere to hang towels outside the shower, and only one pillow each. The headboard was the window, which felt sketchy to lean against. You couldn't open the toilet, shower, or fridge door if another one was already open. Someone nearby smoked now and then, and the smell came in. There are steps too, so keep that in mind. The desk stools had no padding, so remote work probably wouldn't work long term. Though there's space for two at the desk, we didn't both work there because we're larger, and working from the bed kind of sucked. It has a washer, but the shower is the dryer. We had to buy detergent. At our previous place they provided detergent for travelers, and I'm not sure which is normal, but carrying your own bottle while traveling kind of sucks.

The place is self-service, with no elevator or reception. When we arrived, we couldn't get in touch with any staff. Since there was nobody available to help and no elevator, we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs ourselves. It's about a 10-minute walk to the train or bus station. The area is quiet rather than lively, and it wasn't convenient for travelers. Getting to Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Ginza means taking the train.

The location was fantastic, with some really nice local restaurants and cafes nearby. The bathroom and beds weren't the cleanest, but for the price I'd still recommend it.

The main drawback was hauling multiple suitcases weighing 20kg or more up the stairs, since there's no elevator. Getting to the station was awkward too. It's about a 10-minute walk, which feels far for Tokyo, and the nearest station is on the Keio New Line. That line connects through Shinjuku station, where finding it is a quest, a torturous one after a long day of walking. The building itself is new and modern, with genuinely spacious rooms by Tokyo standards. The location is central, and we took a direct bus to Shibuya that took only 30 minutes. It's a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of places to go and convenience stores nearby. I've been to Japan several times, so I have a good frame of reference. Like most places in Tokyo, there's no central heating. The AC was powerful and worked fine, but it dried the air out like crazy.
