Sakura Hotel Nippori

Sendagi station on the subway is very close, and JR Nippori station is about 800 meters away. The neighborhood is quiet, and the cafe is open around the clock. Staff were very friendly and the service was really good. Shared shower rooms were clean. I enjoyed my stay at this good-value hotel or hostel and would stay again when I’m back in Tokyo.

For the price, the rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet, and the hotel is very close to Sendogi st. Staff are lovely and helpful. They offer free local tours led by hotel staff, plus community activities such as cooking nights. There was one on August 31. Room cleaning happens every four days, including changing sheets, removing trash, cleaning floors, and replacing towels. Towels, bedding with a pillow and blanket, shampoo, and bath cream are provided. Showers are shared but offer good privacy, with a women-only shower room for extra privacy. Toilets are separate. I’d highly recommend it and would visit again.

The neighborhood was great, and the place was clean, with the everyday things you need nearby: konbini, laundry, restaurants, and izakaya. Nippori station is only a few minutes away on foot, and walking around the area felt lovely and refreshing. I recommend trying their Breakfast Sakana. I still miss it, almost a year after my last trip to Japan.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and there were plenty of shared bathrooms and showers. Laundry machines were available on site. The only small disappointment was the very limited breakfast that was advertised as Western style: it was just toast and coffee.
