You can get to several stations easily on foot, which makes it simple to reach anywhere in Tokyo. For a monthly stay, the location is hard to beat: Ginza Six is right next door, and convenience stores, Don Quijote, the Uniqlo flagship, and plenty of other shops are all within a five-minute walk. It’s so convenient you may not want to leave. I know I didn’t!

I was pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood recommendations on the website. I know Tokyo pretty well, but their detailed list pointed me toward sights that aren’t always well known. The dinner they suggested near another property, Hyottoko in Hacchobori, was an excellent seafood-focused izakaya, and the udon place near the Residence Ginza was fantastic too. The room had so many distinct items and amenities that I can’t think of anything they left out, which was a nice surprise for a long stay. The view was unobstructed, though nothing special, and the pillows were a little too soft or a little too hard for me, just a matter of personal preference. The location is hard to beat for a longer Tokyo stay, with easy access to Tokyo Station, the rail hub and gateway to the rest of Japan.
