The room was clearly well used, but it was very clean, and we had no concerns. We got a king bed, which is hard to find at this price, plus a pretty wallpaper, a cute view, and a quiet neighborhood. The windows opened, so the room aired out well. Staff were very polite, and the rooftop and little freebies were nice extras for the price. We accepted being farther out in exchange for a room literally twice the size of what the same budget could get us in Shibuya.

It was cheap, clean, and quiet, but the room’s deadbolts didn’t work. Staff used a card to enter while I was changing, well before checkout time.

I was really happy with my stay. It’s a pleasant hotel in a quiet neighborhood, about a five-minute walk from one of the main train hubs, with useful amenities nearby.

After an 11-hour flight, we arrived on October 1 to a filthy place. There were carpet stains, no reception office, just a table, and no phones. The rooms were dirty and looked out onto a wall. The snack bar was only a shelf with two or three cookies. We left to find another hotel and were lucky to find one. The advertising was false. Don’t stay there, you’ll regret it. We did get our money back.

We spent a week in Japan with this place as our home base. It’s in a quiet part of town, which felt great after the busy downtown streets of Shibuya and other cities. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and Sazasuka station is within walking distance. The staff were friendly, and the rooms comfortable. The beds were a little hard, but after walking every day we were grateful for them. We’d definitely stay here again if we get the chance.
