You can’t check in before 10 pm, and the receptionist doesn’t speak any English, which makes communication really hard. You also have to check out every day even if you’re staying more than one night. The rooms smell like smoke. Apart from those issues, they’re really clean and nice.

It wasn’t bad, but it felt like a love hotel posing as a business hotel. Charging someone for arriving early to check in, and I mean just 10 minutes early, is greedy. It’s a joke.

Calm Hotel is where I always stay when I’m out and about in Gotanda. You can book a week ahead, so there’s no need to worry about finding somewhere. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the location is quiet and easy to reach. Free drinks and cakes make it good value. The price is reasonable for the area, and the 500 yen LINE discount is a nice little bonus. Reception staff are polite and reassuring. Bathrobes are provided, which is handy for spa treatments. It’s a favorite, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Gotanda. 💋✨💘🛏️💕

I was traveling a long way to visit the consulate, so I stayed the night before. It was incredibly clean, the service was great, and the staff kindly helped me with anything I didn’t understand. I’d definitely stay again next time!

I won't be staying here again. The short-haired man with glasses made the service extremely unpleasant, and his manners were inappropriate. I even wondered whether he could handle a love hotel reception properly.
