My main problem was the heat. The pods stayed at 76.1F or 24.5C, which was too warm for me to sleep well. In my physiological training, the optimal temperature for human rest is 65F or 18.3C, and from my own experience I rest better when it’s cooler. There’s a fan setting to move more air, but no way to change the pod temperature, and the European-style comforter, without a separate top sheet, made me hot too. If warm sleeping conditions work for you, though, this is a great place in the heart of Tokyo. This was my first pod room stay. Everything, from the pods to the showers and toilets, was clean and well maintained. It was mostly quiet, apart from pod shades opening and closing and people zipping or unzipping suitcases. Earplugs helped a lot, and complimentary ones were available at the front desk. I didn’t have trouble getting to a shower or toilet when I needed one.
