Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro

The staff were great, always polite, and even called a store to check whether an item was in stock so I wouldn’t make the trip for nothing. I booked a comfort double for the in-room washer-dryer. There was also a mini-fridge with a separate freezer, microwave, and Balmuda water boiler. The room is bigger than the average Japanese hotel room on paper, though it felt about the same with all the extra appliances. Mine was clean, and the bed was huge for one person. The shower products and hair dryer were ReFa. I’d read that there are some bars and clubs (?) around, but I barely noticed them since I always came from the station’s C1b exit. I’d stay again.

I loved the coffee options in the lobby, plus the free water and ice. They also have a reusable bottle setup to cut down on cup waste, which was a thoughtful touch. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and it’s handy for getting around Tokyo since it’s close to the train station. Had a wonderful stay at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro and would definitely come back.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and most spoke English. Breakfast is optional to buy, with a good selection and plenty of food, and it’s served twice a day. There’s also a kids' corner and USB ports at the table. We stayed four nights and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and clean the decent-sized room was. The blinds blocked out all the light when we wanted extra sleep, and the shower temperature was easy to adjust and got nice and hot. The toilet seat was warm, too! Ikebukuro Station isn’t too far, mostly underground. Look for exits C6 or C7. I’d definitely recommend Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro. I’ll add photos later.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and had the travel essentials, including a washing machine, microwave, and two-door fridge. My favorite part was that the body wash, shampoo, and hair dryer were all ReFa. There’s also free coffee in the lobby and a chocolate vending machine.
