The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from Tottori Station, and I had a very relaxing view of the garden. It's over 100 years old, with what looked like a recent addition. The breezeway and corridor are unusually wide and look out over the garden. Men and women have separate baths, plus there's a smaller private bath for exclusive use on a first-come, first-served basis. It seems great for families or anyone shy about bathing with others. There's a hot and cold water fountain in the corridor. I had booked the wrong month, but thankfully there was a vacancy. I stayed one night in a single twin room without meals. Some rooms are dated, though everything was there and very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the natural hot spring water was wonderfully warm. I slept better than ever. I'd highly recommend it to friends and family visiting Totorri.

We enjoyed our stay in a Japanese-style room without meals. The interiors seemed recently refurbished, and we really liked the decor. The onsen faces the garden and was at a nice temperature. Since this is a Japanese onsen ryokan, everyone needs to use the public bath. It's just a few minutes' walk from the train station, and the service was considerate. We were very satisfied with the stay.

The new onsen wing is a must try, and they even let us use the onsen for free after checkout. That's Japanese hospitality! The breakfast was beautifully served, with a carefully put-together Japanese-style menu. I was surprised how convenient this ryokan near the station was, and how good the service was compared with a business hotel. I'd stay here again whenever I get the chance to return to Tottori.
