The building has an older feel, and it isn't modern, but that's part of what I liked about it. Our room was good and the service was good too. I'd stay here again for the character.

The room felt a little too small, but the rest of the stay was lovely. The staff at the front were excellent, and breakfast was amazing. I stayed four nights in this cosy, quiet little hotel.

The old details throughout the renovated interior give the place a really stylish feel. I booked through Jalan for under 10,000 yen per person, with Hitachi beef shabu-shabu included in the plan, as shown in the photo. The room was Japanese-style, with the bathroom and toilet separate. It was basic because the price was low, but I had no trouble staying there. There’s also a cat cafe and manga space in Kannai, and you can pick your yukata. The bath wasn’t a hot spring, but it was artificial the next week and quite nice. I just wish I’d had more time to enjoy it. Breakfast was delicious too, so the value was very good. I’m sure the Itao here is excellent.

The single room was a bit dated, but it was very clean. The bathtub curtain could probably use replacing. The inn staff were kind and attentive, and the food was all superb. The sashimi was fresh and delicious.
