Hotel Alpha-One Tsuruga-Bypass

For the price, I was quite satisfied. The entrance opens into a central atrium that rises all the way to the top floor, so it feels airy. My room was average and a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The public bath was spacious and very clean, maybe recently renovated. The place felt relatively clean overall, despite my impression that Alpha-1 was a bit old-fashioned. I wonder if the less positive reviews don't take the price into account.

The facilities are on the old side, but the rates are reasonable and I was happy with the stay. Having a Yoshinoya and a 7-Eleven right next door is handy, and the parking lot is both free and roomy.

Be aware that the paid breakfast is just rice, bread, and soup. At other Alpha-1 hotels, I might choose the breakfast option, but I wouldn't here.

We booked a room-only stay and shared a twin room, two adults and our elementary-school-aged child. It's a pretty standard business hotel, with nothing that really stands out either way. If you just need somewhere to sleep and plan to eat nearby, it does the job. We got dinner at the Yoshinoya next door and breakfast at the Ministop on the other side. The main drawback is the very small parking lot. If you go out at night and can't get a space when you return, they direct you to parking near Tsuruga Station.
