Seaside inn Chobe

The place is by the sea and feels peaceful and ordinary. The host was kind to tourists, and the room was clean with a lovely view of Wakasa.

I came to Fukui for the dinosaur museum and some crab, and chose this inn for the full crab course. The meal was delicious and reminded me how many ways there are to enjoy crab. The room was clean, and hearing the waves was lovely. It's about 15 minutes from Tsuruga Station.

My first visit was for a holiday seafood barbecue. The set came with scallops, turban shells, clams, shrimp, squid, sausages, bell peppers, corn, onions, and rice balls. I ordered oysters on the side, but they wouldn't open and I ended up overcooking them.

We've brought our kids here since they were little, and it's fun having the beach and fishing right nearby. The shampoo buffet was a nice idea, and the food was very satisfying. But there's room to improve elsewhere. We rented two rooms, and in both, the air purifier with humidifier was dusty inside and out, with what looked like mold inside. We have asthma, so we switched them off straight away. The maintenance sign was up, which made it even more disappointing that the rooms hadn't been cleaned. The rooms have apparently been renovated, but ours was just a standard, average-sized one. The bathroom door won't lock unless you reserve it for private use. If you come out naked through the gap in the hallway noren, people can see you, lol.
